Success Story: A New journey of Development
At 14, Vikas went from losing interest in school to becoming a top student, thanks to the support from the SAANS Education Center. His story gives hope to other kids in his village.
Vikas, a 14-year-old boy, lives in the small village of Dhaurabhatha in the Sarangarh Bilaspur district, where educational resources were limited. He and his parents used to migrate to work at a brick kiln, which caused his schooling to remain incomplete. Gradually, he began to lose interest in his studies. Due to spending most of the day migrating, Vikas’s interest in education was diminishing, and his school attendance decreased. Over time, he drifted away from studying.
One day, a new type of education center, SAANS Education Center, was opened in Dhaurabhatha. The goal of this center was to raise awareness about education in the village and provide assistance with studies. Vikas’s parents heard about it and felt that this might be important for their son's future.
Initially, Vikas hesitated to join the center, but after being persuaded by Amrit Tilkiya, a member of the SAANS group, he decided to attend. The SAANS Education Center taught children in fun and engaging ways, using new techniques that sparked their interest. Vikas loved the environment there. The teachers gave personal attention to each child, understanding their weaknesses and helping them improve.
Gradually, Vikas regained his interest in studies. He not only became more regular at the center but also began attending school more consistently. Where he once neglected his schoolwork, he now started going regularly and worked hard to achieve good grades.
The SAANS Education Center not only rekindled Vikas’s interest in studies but also taught him that with hard work and dedication, anything can be achieved. He started excelling in his classes and became a favorite of his teachers.
Today, Vikas is one of the brightest and hardest-working students at his village school. His success is a source of pride for his parents and an inspiration for the children of the entire village.
